We are seeking a highly experienced Inspector with over 5 years of inspection experience in the aerospace or general manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS and will have the ability to read, write, and correlate programs. Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspections in an aerospace environment is essential. The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications. The candidate should be able to work independently, solve problems with minimal assistance, and have a strong background in manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform final and in-process inspections of aerospace engine parts and components.
  • Create, edit, and correlate PC-DMIS programs using solid models and prints, ensuring all relevant data is captured.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using a CMM, verifying measurements with hard gaging and measuring equipment.
  • Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to confirm parts meet customer criteria for acceptability.
  • Ensure all inspected parts meet customer criteria.
  • Process required paperwork for defective parts or those needing rework.
  • Work overtime as needed based on business requirements.
  • Familiarity with building and calibrating hard gaging is a plus.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating CMMs using PC-DMIS.
  • Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing, hand gages, micrometers, swing gages, and other measuring tools.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications.
  • Experience in performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Facilities maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and maintenance technician duties.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues.

Work Environment

This position offers both 1st and 2nd shifts, with the 1st shift running Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Work in a dynamic environment utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. Engage in collaborative projects with the engineering department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Granby, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
