Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting various inspections on civil aviation articles received by the repair station. This includes preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, final inspections, and return-to-service functions, all in accordance with technical data provided by manufacturers and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections on maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration of powerplants, aircraft, or appliances, ensuring compliance with accepted or approved data.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that major repairs and alterations were performed using proper tools and test equipment, ensuring no unauthorized deviations.
  • Execute inspection tasks as outlined on Company job cards, repair and routing travelers, and record discrepancies as necessary.
  • Review corrective action entries, including installed parts/material tags, tools and equipment used, proper sign-off, and references.
  • Conduct receiving inspections on incoming parts, materials, and tooling to ensure Company standards and requirements are met, and generate applicable identification tags.
  • Assist in the development and training of new inspectors.
Essential Skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license required.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in aircraft jet engine maintenance, with CFM56 experience as a plus.
  • Experience with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data during the borescope process.
  • Familiarity with all regulatory requirements governing the maintenance of aircraft jet engines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the aviation industry, particularly with engine inspection.
  • Knowledge of CFM engines, including CFM56.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $52.00/hr.
