Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Quality Inspector, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all materials and products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be responsible for inspecting parts from outside vendors, purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.
Responsibilities- Receive and inspect Outside Vendor parts for compliance with required process, certification, and paperwork.
- Document and report all discrepancies found during inspections.
- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for defects in materials, work, and transit damage.
- Perform in-process inspections and report discrepancies.
- Prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports and input data into the QA database.
- Document acceptance/rejections on the appropriate router.
- Perform source inspections as requested by customers and complete associated documentation.
- Compare completed products with parts list, drawings, blueprints, customer purchase orders, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Verify specified dimensions of products or materials and prepare Detailed Inspection Plans.
- Perform first article inspections and complete all associated documentation.
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Prepare inspection procedure outlines for reference use in subsequent inspections.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions.
Essential Skills- High School diploma or GED; or completed apprenticeship from an accredited trade school.
- Aerospace experience required.
- 2-5 years of demonstrated experience for Level 2 Quality Inspector.
- 5 or more years of demonstrated experience for Level 3 Quality Inspector.
- Minimum five years’ experience of dimensional tolerance inspection (Y14.5) of aerospace products preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret work instructions, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of NADCAP requirements is preferred.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Strong PC skills.
- Experience in quality control, assurance, and inspection.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

Work EnvironmentWork in a dynamic environment with options for 1st shift (M-F 7 AM - 3:30 PM) or 2nd shift (M-F, 2 PM – 10:30 PM), with a $1.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift. Opportunities for overtime may be available but are not guaranteed.
