Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Assembles, disassembles, repairs, and/or modifies aircraft components by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle sub-components, consumables, and expendables to correct failures or implement upgrades or modifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows technical data, company procedures, and established industry processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results).
Perform validation and verification testing of components.
Troubleshoots complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to isolate mechanical or other faults and repairs faulty components.
Operate shop equipment to disassemble, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair aircraft components and assemblies.
Perform corrosion control, maintenance inspections, miscellaneous duties to service components and test equipment, documents maintenance, records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily.
Support the configuration of aircraft components and bench test equipment as required.
Assist other employees to understand / solve problems; develops and sustains productive customer relationships.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant license preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, if applicable.
Minimum 6 months of mechanical experience is required.
Aircraft maintenance experience is preferred
Dynamic component repair, overhaul, and maintenance experience or knowledge of complex mechanical systems or components is preferred.
