Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Columbus, MS that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. They are a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader.
The Senior Aircraft Technician – Mechanical is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, repair, and inspection of aircraft mechanical systems in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft mechanical systems including engines, hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear, fuel systems, and pneumatics.
- Conduct detailed inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements, aircraft maintenance manuals, and approved procedures.
- Complete documentation, maintenance records, and logbooks accurately and on time.
- Lead mechanical tasks and projects, ensuring completion within quality and safety standards.
- Identify mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Verify work performed by other technicians and support quality assurance audits.
- Operate specialized equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience
- Helicopter maintenance experience
- Current FAA A&P license is strongly preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
- Current A&P license is a plus
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
