The Senior Manager of Quality Control is responsible to establish and maintain quality and safety measures that will ensure safe operation of aircraft returned to service by AAC Part 145 Repair Station. He/she will also ensure that personnel safety is maintained as the highest priority and that the necessary training activity is carried out as required by the FAA and Repair Station Manuals. Additionally, responsibility includes implementation of and adherence to a system that ensures a quality of workmanship that our customers demand and expect. Communication and leadership of QC team that promotes positive attitudes, team effort, Productivity, loyalty and quality improvements. Able to communicate concerns, needs and recommendations to management - 10%
Represents QC Department as prime contact with FAA during routine visits and audits, and with customer deliveries/maintenance - 10%
Timely and routine updates of Repair Station Manuals covering FAA, EASA, TCCA and sustained EASA internal audit compliance - 10%
Direct interface with Repair Station PRT to ensure the expected level of training is maintained, OJT Training is conducted and Remedial Training measures are put in place when required. - 10%
Actively participate with other managers within department and AWPC to identify and resolve problems related to successful Part 145 operations - 10%
Organizing and planning of DAR activity as it relates to aircraft schedules - 10%
Oversight of tool calibration and shelf life requirements - 10%
Oversight of qualified vendors used by the Repair Station for repair of parts and outsourced aircraft maintenance. - 10%
Ensure compliance or P145 Quality & safety system with all relevant FAA guidelines, processes, procedures and policies - 10%
Hire, develop and retain supervisory staff - 10 %
