We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Mechanic to support multiple rotary-wing aircraft programs across several military installations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in structural repairs and modifications, sheet metal fabrication, and depot-level maintenance, with prior experience on rotary-wing platforms highly preferred. This position requires travel between Huntsville, Fort Bragg, and Fort Bliss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural repairs, replacements, and rebuilds on aircraft airframes, including skin panels, frames, bulkheads, and structural components in accordance with applicable technical manuals and engineering data.
- Fabricate, modify, and install sheet metal components and structural assemblies using hand tools and power tools to meet dimensional and airworthiness requirements.
- Conduct depot-level structural maintenance, identifying and correcting discrepancies in aircraft structures, flight surfaces, and related systems.
- Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements.
- Comply with work order timekeeping system procedures.
- Comply with safety rules and procedures and perform work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work area. Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety, violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a structural or sheet metal mechanic within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Experience performing structural maintenance and sheet metal fabrication on military rotary-wing aircraft, preferably AH-64 Apache or UH-60 Black Hawk.
- Depot-level maintenance experience
- US Citizenship required.
- Must provide own shadowed/etched tools and toolbox.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license.
