Position Overview:
The Senior Sheet Metal Technician will be responsible for performing advanced structural repairs, fabrication, and modifications on a variety of aircraft. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation sheet metal practices, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex sheet metal repairs and structural modifications on aircraft
- Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
- Fabricate and install aircraft parts using aluminum, steel, and composite materials
- Conduct inspections to identify structural issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company quality standards
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
