Job Summary: As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will be instrumental in conducting repairs and fabrication on customer aircraft and components. Your role will involve meticulously inspecting, maintaining, and modifying aircraft structures. While possessing prior experience in aviation individuals with a strong mechanical background and expertise in sheet metal materials are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal components and systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and OEM specifications.

• Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates or measurements.

• Cut, shape, and bend sheet metal using hand tools or machines.

• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.

• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 3+ years experience in aviation or aerospace industry.

• A&P preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.

• Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools

• Experience with cutting, shaping, and bending sheet metal.

• Familiarity with torquing, sealing, and fastener installation.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, structural repair manuals, aircraft maintenance manuals, etc.

• Ability to write comprehensive repair actions on tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 4-8 hours.

• The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
