MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or GED and completion of a civilian or military basic electronics program is desired.
- Must have completed SIM TECH training or 5+ years Simulator technician experience and training.
- BSEE or BSME degree is highly desired.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Flight Simulator Technician or equivalent is desired, with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex non-routine problems on flight simulation equipment, including digital and analog hardware, to include motion systems.
- Experience in conducting practical training in checking, repairing, and calibrating simulation hardware, tools, test, and support equipment is required.
- Experience should include component level test and repair of microprocessor-controlled equipment.
- Morally and ethically influence others to successfully achieve program goals.
- Fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work with minimum supervision and in conjunction with other personnel.
- Display ability to exercise good judgment and to assume responsibility for accuracy and completeness of work.
- Display ability to repair, overhaul, rebuild, align, and adjust complete multi-systems.
- Demonstrate and apply comprehensive knowledge of all major units of the complete multi-system to achieve operating specifications.
- Successfully determine proper sequence of operations and start point for sequential operations, in order, to pinpoint areas of malfunction.
- Possess and maintain extensive practical knowledge of the theories and practices of electronic circuits, computer theory, hydraulic or pneumatic control and power systems, and many other areas covering a wide range of system applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Morally and ethically influence others to successfully achieve program goals.
- Fluently read, write, speak, and understand English AND Japanese.
- Possess basic ATS knowledge.
- Possess basic knowledge of maintenance activities, policies, and procedures.
- Possess basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications, such as word processing applications, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Possess basic knowledge of government proposals and contracts..
Education and Formal Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent education, experience, and training.
EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years managing CLS sites or maintenance personnel.
- Government contracts experience highly desired.
Materials and Equipment Directly Used:
- Computer with software applications, such as word processing and spread sheet programs, printers, and classroom presentation equipment
- Weapon System Trainer (WST), Boom Operator Trainer (BOT),
