Summary:
Assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect aircraft structural and system components.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and technical documents.
Perform functional testing and ensure assemblies meet quality and engineering standards.
Use precision measuring tools, hand tools, and assembly equipment during production.
Perform drilling, disassembly, surface finishing, blending, burnishing, and repair work.
Support production schedules and maintain workflow within manufacturing areas.
Assist with training and cross-training of assembly and inspection personnel.
Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance as required.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High school diploma or GED required.
5+ years of aircraft structural assembly or related aerospace manufacturing experience.
Experience with aircraft skin quality including hand forming, burnishing, and repair.
Ability to perform protective coatings, metal polishing, and surface finishing operations.
Experience blending multiple adjacent MDD surfaces to engineering tolerances.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production schedules.
