What You’ll DoAs a Structures Installation Mechanic, you will play a critical role in aircraft assembly, installation, inspection, and functional testing to ensure every component meets strict aerospace quality and safety standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete structural and system components using engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Perform functional tests and ensure proper fit, form, and function of assemblies and components
- Read and interpret prints, charts, sketches, electronic work instructions, and verbal direction
- Use shop math, precision measuring tools, and test instruments to complete assignments accurately
- Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies and final aircraft structures
- Verify completed work meets engineering and process specifications; identify and report discrepancies
- Ensure equipment and tool certifications remain compliant with procedures
- Perform routine minor maintenance on machinery and shop equipment
- Move products and materials throughout the manufacturing area using assigned equipment
- Complete work within production schedules and deadlines
- Support production flow by assisting and training team members across classifications
- Cross-train in inspection processes and become SIA qualified
- Operate conventional and CNC fastening equipment as required
- Perform specialty tasks such as doors installation, sealing, sub-assembly, fuel cell sealing, pressure/vacuum testing, and precision bench assembly
What You BringRequired Qualifications- Experience in aircraft structural assembly, installation, or aerospace manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents
- Skilled in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must be available for any shift after training completion
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience on commercial aircraft programs such as 787, 737, or 777
- Background supporting defense aircraft programs
- CNC fastening or advanced tooling experience
- Experience with fuel cell sealing, pressure testing, or aircraft doors installation
- Prior aerospace certification or inspection experience

Pay Details: $55.00 to $59.00 per hour
