Job Title: Structures Lead TechnicianJob DescriptionThis position is for a Structural Technician, Lead within the Control Sat (CSAT) structures group. The CSAT structures team is responsible for the assembly and maintenance of the primary satellite structure. As a lead technician, you will need expert-level familiarity with aerospace-specific composite and metallic structural mechanical work.
Responsibilities- Lead small teams of technicians and participate in the assembly of satellite structure components.
- Distribute work assigned by management to team members according to priority and individual skill levels.
- Interpret and apply blueprints and technical drawings during assembly.
- Lead maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) type rework from engineering dispositions and non-conformance documentation.
- Assemble, drill, and fasten aluminum and composite mechanical parts manually, following prescribed procedures.
- Ensure team members are working according to approved documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Use hand tools and equipment such as scales, calipers, palm drills, die grinders, ratcheting wrenches, drill bushings, etc.
- Utilize tooling and jigs to locate parts for precise assembly.
- Report to management regularly on progress and status of assignments and motivate team members to meet production and quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure workflow continuity.
- Assist in training newly assigned personnel.
- Function as a liaison between the team and management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Essential Skills- Expert-level familiarity with aerospace-specific composite and metallic structural mechanical work.
- Ability to interpret and apply blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools and equipment such as scales, calipers, palm drills, die grinders, ratcheting wrenches, drill bushings, etc.
- Experience in assembly and fastening of aluminum and composite mechanical parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
- Associates degree or certificate in a technical area.
- Assembly or manufacturing experience.
- High aptitude to work with small electronic components, including soldering of small electrical components or mechanical equipment.
- Experience in the space or aeronautical field.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
