PDS Defense, Inc. is hiring a Senior Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to support helicopter structural assembly and installation programs in Columbus, MS. This is a hands-on role for experienced aircraft sheet metal professionals who take pride in precision, quality, and teamwork.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, sketches, and engineering diagrams
- Inspect and measure parts prior to installation to ensure proper fit and defect-free condition
- Install aircraft sheet metal parts and assemblies without compromising structure or system functionality
- Fit and assemble skins, frames, tail booms, stabilizers, and other helicopter structural components
- Perform drilling, fitting, and riveting of aircraft sub-assemblies
- Partner with Quality Inspectors to test and verify proper assembly and compliance
- Apply standard shop practices in the fabrication, repair, and modification of aircraft structures
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience
- Relevant experience may substitute for formal education or A&P coursework
- Strong ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings
- Solid understanding of standard aircraft fabrication and repair methods
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred (Not Required)
- Current Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) license
