About the OpportunityWe are seeking experienced Structures Mechanics to support aircraft maintenance operations in Gilbert, Arizona. This position focuses on aircraft structural maintenance, inspection, and sheet‑metal repair in a regulated Part 145 environment. Opportunities are available for direct placement as well as contract‑to‑hire, depending on experience and fit.
This role is ideal for mechanics who value quality workmanship, consistency, and daytime schedules in a controlled maintenance setting.
Compensation & Employment Type- Up to $40/hr total compensation (DOE)
- Per diem available for those who qualify:
- $160/day, up to 5 days per week (split per diem structure)
- Direct placement or contract‑to‑hire options available
- Personal tools required
What You’ll Do- Perform routine and non‑routine maintenance on aircraft structural components
- Inspect structural areas for cracks, corrosion, damage, and wear
- Troubleshoot structural and mechanical issues based on inspection findings
- Perform sheet‑metal repairs including drilling, cutting, riveting, patching, and reinforcement
- Install new components or replace defective or recalled parts
- Reference maintenance manuals, drawings, and technical data to determine approved repair methods
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, reassembly steps, and sign‑offs
- Ensure compliance with FAA, Part 145 repair station, and OSHA requirements
- Support additional tasks as assigned by maintenance leadership
Essential Skills- 3+ years of aircraft structures / sheet‑metal experience
- MRO or Part 145 Repair Station experience required
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical instructions
- Strong understanding of aircraft structures and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with documentation using Microsoft Office or similar software
- Ownership and use of required aircraft maintenance tools
Additional Qualifications- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and detailed structural inspections
- Familiarity with aircraft manuals, structural drawings, and schematics
- Hands‑on experience with one or more of the following:
- Landing gear structures
- Full aircraft disassembly
- Bird‑strike structural repairs
- Patchwork and reinforcement repairs
Work Environment & Schedule- Air‑conditioned, well‑equipped maintenance facility
- Monday–Friday day shift
- Start time between 7:00–8:00 AM
- End time between 4:00–5:00 PM
- Contract‑to‑hire conversion typically around 6 months, based on performance and attendance
- Some schedule flexibility available depending on operational needs

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $76960.00/yr.
