Description
Structures Mechanic performing heavy maintenance on ATR turboprop aircraft operated by air cargo carrier. Receive task card, read blueprint, identify tools needed, perform repair or install required, submit to inspection.
Drilling, reaming, riveting to close tolerance, using standard, and blind/pop rivets like HI-Loks and Cherry Max, basic fabrication, install, quality check. Corrosion control, fabricating and installing stringers and doublers.
Client is currently engaged in the modification of an ATR72-700, in additional to the standard C-checks for the fleet (ATRs operated for FedEx). These Structures Mechanics will either take the place of internal mechanics who will be trained up on the customer mod and moved to that lined, to effectively backill the heavy check line for the duration of the 11K hour mod, or will be trained up on the mod and join the mod team. 6+ month contract, definite opportunity for perm if desired.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years aircraft structural repair or fabrication experience - must be able to drill/ream/countersink/rivet sheetmetal working from blueprints
Must be able to pass basic structures fabrication test (Secure metal plates with several dozen rivets of different types - pictures attached)
MRO experience required

The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $52.00/hr.
