The primary responsibility of the Structures Mechanic is to maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures to meet the highest aviation standards. This work will be conducted on a variety of aircraft, including C-130s, CH-47, 737, Citation, and S-61 models.

• Perform structural maintenance, modifications, and repairs on aircraft in compliance with aviation standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, repair manuals, and process sheets.
• Assemble and install parts or complete repairs using structural fasteners.
• Diagnose and apply appropriate repairs from structural repair manuals.
• Treat and prevent corrosion, apply sealants, and ensure proper protection standards are met.
• Maintain, calibrate, and properly use measuring tools and shop equipment.
• Keep accurate work records and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and a strong work ethic.
• Travel as needed to support operations in and outside of the United States.

• 8+ years of structural heavy maintenance and modification experience required.
• Sheet metal, structure, and riveting skills.
• Heavy maintenance expertise.
• Strong skills in interpreting manuals, technical drawings, and standards.
• Excellent hand skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• A&P license preferred.
• Completion of an approved training course (ICS accepted).
• Prior military candidates with depot level maintenance experience on C-130s or CH-47 preferred.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety focused.
• Must have the basic tools (specialty tools will be provided).

Although this is a contract position, candidates who perform well have the opportunity to stay on for a longer term. This role offers a dynamic work environment with the chance to be part of a leading organization in aerial firefighting, providing rapid-response fire suppression globally.

The position is primarily based in Thermal, CA, with an initial requirement to travel to Van Nuys for up to a month. The role involves working with a world-class fleet of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, contributing to global operations in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
