Pay Rate: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
Make Your Mark on Aircraft That MatterPDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a highly skilled Structures Mechanic to support critical aircraft maintenance and modification programs. In this hands-on role, you’ll work on structural components that are essential to aircraft safety, performance, and longevity.
Your precision, craftsmanship, and technical expertise will directly contribute to keeping aircraft mission-ready and operating at peak performance.
What You’ll DoTake on complex, high-impact work in a fast-paced maintenance environment:
Perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation on critical structural components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical orders, and repair specifications
Execute structural modifications and repairs on aircraft sheet metal and support structures
Utilize specialized tools including rivet guns, torque wrenches, micrometers, and cable tensiometers
Conduct troubleshooting and replacement of mechanical components
Access and update aircraft data systems, initiating parts and discrepancy requests as needed
Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
Work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and handle physical demands including lifting up to 35 lbs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (avionics, general mechanics, electronics) to meet production and schedule goals
Maintain required certifications, licenses, and compliance standards
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
5+ years of experience working with non-porous metals (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel)
5+ years of experience interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, and specifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with structural tools (drills, countersinks, rivet guns, etc.)
Experience performing heavy structural work (doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks, etc.)
Ability to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with aerospace programs
Background in heavy aircraft maintenance
Experience on the 787 platform
A&P Certification
Experience with composite aircraft structures
Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and powered lift equipment

Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
