Job Description
This role involves working on unique bonding and assembly processes in the production of airframes. The position requires setting up assembly fixtures, drilling, fay sealing, fastener installation, trimming, and fitting of components, along with other dynamic and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.
- Safely and correctly utilize shop tools and machinery, including drills, die grinders, and calipers.
- Drill a variety of hole sizes in both composite and metal structures, including stack-ups of dissimilar materials.
- Work hands-on with multiple fastener types, such as Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok.
- Possess hands-on aircraft manufacturing experience with both composite and metallic airframes.
- Adhere to set directions and guidelines from team leaders to support collaboration across teams to complete projects.
- Provide input of technical and operational knowledge in the assessment and repair/maintenance recommendations to support assigned programs.
- Work on manufacturing assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
- Ensure quality and efficiency of installations, including troubleshooting, and provide guidance in troubleshooting processes and concepts.
- Adhere to assembly instructions to ensure accurate completion of complex project assemblies.
- Continuously practice safety behavior and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness and prevention; adhere to regulatory protocols and rules.
- Work collaboratively to achieve goals and/or complete assigned tasks.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience with aircraft fabrication and assembly or equivalent industry experience.
- Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with multiple types of fasteners.
- Knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for materials being worked on.

6AM-4:30PM Mon-Thur
1st Shift 6AM-4:30PM Thur-Sun
2nd Shift 4PM-2:30AM Mon-Thur
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
