Job Title: Structures TechnicianJob DescriptionThis position involves working with unique bonding and assembly processes used in the production of airframes. The primary tasks will include setting up assembly fixturing, drilling, fay sealing, fastener installation, and trimming/fitting of components.
Responsibilities- Assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.
- Safely and correctly utilize shop tools and machinery, including drills, die grinders, and calipers.
- Drill a variety of hole sizes in both composite and metal structures, including stack-ups of dissimilar materials.
- Work hands-on with multiple fastener types, such as Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok.
- Provide technical and operational input for assessment and repair/maintenance recommendations.
- Work on moderately difficult manufacturing assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
- Ensure the quality and efficiency of installations, including troubleshooting and providing guidance on troubleshooting processes and concepts.
- Adhere to assembly instructions to ensure accurate completion of complex project assemblies.
- Continuously practice safety behavior and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness/prevention.
- Collaborate with teams to achieve goals and complete assigned tasks.
Essential Skills- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience with aircraft fabrication and assembly or equivalent industry.
- Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment to assemble and/or repair aircraft.
- Proficient in identifying, installing, and removing common aircraft fasteners.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and/or models on paper or digital.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Knowledge of proper drill speeds and feeds for materials being worked.
- Experience with multiple types of fasteners and hole tolerances.
- Willingness to learn cutting-edge spacecraft manufacturing techniques.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) training is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate on technical projects with fellow technicians or interdepartmental functions.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools is a plus.
- Strong safety forward thinking and practice good housekeeping.

Work EnvironmentWork in an aircraft hangar with temperature control. Due to the nature of the aircraft parts, humidity may be high in the facility. Shifts include 1st shift from 6AM-4:30PM (Mon-Thur or Thur-Sun) and 2nd shift from 4PM-2:30AM (Mon-Thur).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
