Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and identify material and related documentation as prescribed by the purchase order/sales order or contract specifications highlighting any nonconformance or omission.
  • Operate Forklift as required to retrieve high valued material from inbound flatbeds and box trucks. 5K and 12K sit down forklift, reach truck, and order picker used.
  • Make sure all material is properly package for warehouse storage. Small boxes up to 30ft large crates.
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Occasionally deal with material covered in grease and hydraulic fluid.
  • Comply with ESD (electro static discharge) requirements when receiving ESD material.
  • Enter, verify, and validate the accuracy of data input into the Pentagon database.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team on freight shipments coming in from across the globe.

Education and Experience:

  • H.S. diploma or G.E.D. certificate required.
  • Must have forklift and receiving experience
  • Experience in the aviation parts business is preferred.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail is imperative.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be efficient with a desire to succeed.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, crawl, work in tight spaces and handle objects.
  • Frequently required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level or carry light-weight materials up to 50 lbs.
