As a Test Cell Mechanic, you’ll repair and overhaul gas turbine engines and work with specialized mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems to test.
*** Must be open to working 1st, 2nd or Weekend Shift ***
What you’ll do:
- Inspect engine modules and engine components.
- Assist in the preparation and de-preparation of engines for testing
- Troubleshoot, adjusts or replace components on engines
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Observe all applicable safety practices and aviation regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of aviation maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine proper operating conditions
- Inspection of unique parts.
- In-depth knowledge of process, manual and aviation regulations.
- Provides guidance to other mechanics with troubleshooting during the assembly, inspection and dismantle process.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- MUST meet ITAR requirements
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Power plant certification considered an asset.
- Apprenticeship and or/formal training in area(s) of specialty or commensurate experience is preferred.
