BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of hands on experience with mechanical/structural/fluid/electrical systems
- 1+ years of experience performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A&P (airframe and powerplant) license
- Experience in research and development or other fast-paced technical environment
- Experience with evaluation and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical or structural systems
- Experience with thermal vacuum and vacuum test equipment
- Experience with vibration and shock test equipment
- Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of mechanical GD&T requirements and electrical schematics
- Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and soldering equipment
- Ability to fabricate and repair cable harnesses including: soldering, crimping, assembling connectors
- Comfortable with operating fabrication equipment (mill, lathe, and drill press)
- Experience with hydraulic plumbing repair/fabrication
- Knowledge/experience with cryogenic systems
- Knowledge of various fittings (NPT, MS, AN, Swagelok, medium pressure)
- Experience with test operations procedures including hydraulic load control, hydro/pneumatic pressure control, and safe handling of flight parts
- Experience with rigging, cranes, and lift operations
- Experience with precision measuring instruments/equipment
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to navigate and manipulate files
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: 1st shift 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Test Technician / Level 1: $22.00 - $29.00/hour
Test Technician / Level 2: $27.00 - $34.50/hour
Test Technician / Level 3: $32.00 - $40.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
