Description:Lockheed Martins Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a Tool Inspector to join our team.

1st Shift /3x12 schedule (Fri-Sun)
Shift could change based on business needs

From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, Lockheed Martin MFC utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the worlds most advanced weapon and sensor technology.

A Tooling / Fabrication Inspector inspects tooling, composites, machined parts, and subassemblies completely for dimensional conformity, workmanship, operation sequence, adherence to design requirements and specifications in coordination with associated tooling and parts.

Performs periodic checks and/or inspections, involving GD&T calculations on various types of precision measuring instruments. Accepts or rejects items per specifications and engineering drawing

Sets up castings, jigs, fixtures, machine parts and tooling on Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), surface plate or table, angle plate, sine plate, rotary or tilting table or other state of the art equipment suitable for taking precision measurements. Checks dimensions such as, hole patterns, trim lines, parallelism and other GD&T specifications.

The candidate should have proficient experience working and navigating on a computer to read / understand work instructions and working in software to capture inspection planning and acceptance.

Must have the ability to work different shifts (1st / 2nd / 3rd) at times based on seniority prioritization in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Must have the ability to work overtime including weekends depending on Business Unit needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with
Mechanical Quality inspection.
CMM experience
Engineering/blueprint drawing reading/interpretation.
Precision measurement tools.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
SAP experience.
Tool inspection/Calibration/ Metrology experience.
Ability to perform manual measurements.
Experience with aerospace hardware.
Familiar with military specifications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
