Job Description:
We are seeking skilled UH-60 Aircraft Mechanics to perform scheduled phase maintenance (PMI 1 & 2) on Black Hawk helicopters. This role involves in-depth inspections, repairs, and servicing of aircraft systems and subsystems in accordance with military technical manuals and aviation safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled phase inspections including teardown, detailed inspection, and reassembly of aircraft components.
- Remove and install major aircraft subsystems such as engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, and flight controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct lubrication, servicing, and functional checks of aircraft systems.
- Maintain accurate aircraft historical records and maintenance logs.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to inspect and repair airframe structures including aluminum, steel, and composite materials.
- Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations.
- Assist in preparing aircraft for flight post-maintenance, including ground runs and operational checks.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with rotary-wing aircraft systems.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-tempo environment.
- Familiarity with Army maintenance procedures and documentation standards (e.g., DA Form 2408 series).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- UH-60 phase maintenance experience (PMI 1/2)
- Required: 4+ years of rotary-wing aircraft maintenance (will consider less on case-by-case basis)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and Army documentation (DA Form 2408 series)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and structural systems
