We’re hiring a Welder in Ontario, Ohio to support high‑volume production welding with some prototype work mixed in—all in a fast‑paced shop that values quality, reliability, and certification.

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $27.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule & Overtime
Position OverviewPerform production welding (primary focus) with some prototype work
Weld instrumentation piece parts in various materials, primarily steel and stainless steel
Support fabrication, assembly, and machine welding operations
Maintain certification and quality standards for each product welded
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding on production parts with occasional prototype welding
Weld components using TIG and MIG processes
Work with various grades of steel and stainless steel
Fabricate and fit parts, welding pre‑fabricated components into final assemblies
Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype parts
Operate programmed welding machines for production units
Assist machine welding operators during high‑volume production as needed
Ensure all welds meet quality requirements, including destructive and non‑destructive testing
Maintain welding qualifications and certifications per product requirements
Perform additional shop and support tasks as required
Certifications & QualificationsASME welding certifications are required for pressure vessel work and must be completed in‑house using company weld procedures
Required in‑house certification capabilities include:
Short arc mild steel to mild steel (F1 position)
Short arc mild steel to stainless steel (F1 position)
Spray arc mild steel to mild steel (F1 position)
Short arc mild steel pipe to stainless steel pipe (F2 position)
Submerged arc pipe (F1 position)
No formal certifications required for non‑ASME parts, though internal weld procedures must be followed
Candidates able to pass an in‑house weld test will be considered, even if not currently certified
Work Environment & ExpectationsProduction‑focused manufacturing environment
Consistent workload with overtime expectations
Strong attendance, reliability, and safety focus are essential
Must be able to pass required weld tests

Pay Details: $20.00 to $27.00 per hour
