What Youll DoAs a General Welder, youll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve reliability, and support continuous operations.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility structures using welding and fabrication techniques.
Execute MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to repair metal components, parts, and structural elements.
Fabricate metal parts, frames, brackets, supports, and other custom components according to specifications.
Utilize cutting, grinding, and bending equipment to complete fabrication projects efficiently and accurately.
Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
Participate in preventive maintenance activities to identify wear, damage, and potential equipment failures before they impact operations.
Follow all safety procedures and welding best practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders.
Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production personnel to reduce downtime and support operational goals.
What Were Looking ForRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a welder, fabricator, or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience performing MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, repair instructions, and specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred QualificationsVocational training, trade school certification, or formal education in welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and industrial machinery.
Welding certifications are a plus.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
