JOB SUMMARY:
To form, finish, join and assemble a variety of production and aircraft parts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Perform operations necessary to smooth and finish welded parts and assemblies.
a. Grind and smooth welded parts to appearance specifications.
b. Performs clean and leak test operations on welded details and assemblies.
II. A check, join, straighten or hand form detail and weld assemblies in accordance with appropriate check fixtures, specifications, oral and written instructions.
III. Use metal forming and trimming tools such as hammers, hand shears and drills, and operate fabrication equipment such as sanders, grinders, buffers, expanders, reamers and torches.
IV. May perform rework and modification of a simple nature on parts and assemblies.
V. Use measuring devices which may include scale, protractor and straight edge.
VI. Responsible for the quality of own work.
VII. Perform other related duties as required.
