Candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of aircraft wheels, brakes, and related hydraulic components in accordance with applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, overhaul, and reassemble aircraft wheel and brake assemblies in accordance with OEM maintenance manuals and FAA regulations
- Perform dimensional inspections and evaluate components for serviceability using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges)
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections including fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and eddy current testing on wheel halves, brake housings, and related components
- Document all work performed accurately in accordance with FAA Part 145 repair station requirements and company quality management system
- Identify and properly tag unserviceable parts; complete required serviceable/unserviceable tags per FAA standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-controlled work environment
- Operate shop equipment including torque wrenches, hydraulic press, blast cabinets, and inspection tools
- Coordinate with inspection/QC personnel for required inspections and release to service
- Follow all safety procedures, including handling of hazardous materials (hydraulic fluid, cleaning solvents, lubricants)
- Support continuous improvement efforts and adhere to ISO/AS9100 quality standards where applicable
