Join a dynamic MRO facility specializing in the repair and overhaul of commercial and military jet engines, as we prepare to pursue AS9110 certification. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead, coordinate, and accelerate this effort. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on aviation maintenance environment and can build a compliant, efficient, and safety-driven quality system.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of the AS9110 certification initiative, including gap analysis, project planning, implementation, and audit readiness.
- Develop, revise, and maintain quality management system (QMS) documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and process maps.
- Conduct internal audits, root-cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities aligned with AS9110 requirements.
- Establish and monitor key quality metrics, ensuring continuous improvement across maintenance and overhaul operations.
- Train technicians, inspectors, and managers on AS9110 standards, human-factors principles, documentation requirements, and quality best practices.
- Ensure alignment with FAA, EASA, DoD, and OEM requirements where applicable.
Essential Skills
- Experience in an aviation MRO environment, ideally with jet engines or complex powerplant systems.
- Strong working knowledge of AS9110, AS9100, or other aerospace quality standards.
- Hands-on experience with QMS development, internal auditing, and certification processes.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 145 requirements and aviation maintenance documentation practices.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior involvement in achieving AS9110 or AS9100 certification at an MRO facility.
- Lead Auditor certification (AS9110/AS9100/ISO 9001).
- Experience with engine shop operations, teardown/inspection processes, or component repair.

Work in an engine shop setting with a shift from 6 am to 3:30 pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooksville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
