Operational Material Support is responsible for the procurement of spare parts for Icelandair’s aircraft fleet and other partners. The team consists of a strong group of professionals who ensure that spare part inventory is always available for Icelandair’s maintenance division. The team operates in a solution-oriented and cost-effective manner.
We are looking for a specialist to join our Operational Material Support team to work on diverse and challenging projects in a dynamic and ever-changing work environment. The role includes overseeing scheduled inspections of Icelandair’s fleet and managing the procurement of spare parts in accordance with supplier agreements.
The position is based at Icelandair’s maintenance hangar at Keflavík Airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement and inventory management of spare parts
- Ensuring that inventory levels abroad align with operational needs
- Managing contracts
- Communicating with suppliers and customers
- Providing information to customers
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant educational background
- Experience in aircraft maintenance is an advantage
- Excellent English proficiency
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong cost awareness with a focus on operational efficiency
- Proficiency in Outlook and Excel
- Knowledge of Maintenix is an advantage
