ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAMThe Head of Telecom Expense Management is managing a team of six Accounting Analysts in charge of processing and validating all SITA Telecom invoices ( ~700 invoices per month), ensuring all Telecom charges are properly coded, validated against orders, quotations and inventories, managing disputes with suppliers, working with internal teams to identify unknown charges, to resolve disputes and with other Finance teams for compliance and internal reporting.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Ensure all SITA Telecom invoices are timely processed and validated through SITA TEM tool so that SITA pays the right amount to suppliers and does not pay for unused or invalid services.
- Manage operational relationship with SITA TEM tool vendor, tool performance and any needed functional tool changes.
- Manage and enforce business rules for coding of telecom charges with the input from the relevant Business Finance teams.
- Ensure accruals are properly and timely communicated to relevant Finance teams.
- Raise and manage disputes with suppliers, ensuring timely resolution, with help of Procurement teams as needed.
- Ensure cost savings and cost avoidance are properly recorded and reported on.
- Ensure Key Activity and Key Performance indicators are reported on and analyzed when needed.
- Work with ordering & delivery teams to resolve unknown charges, inventory data discrepancy or process misalignment.
- Provide regular expense reports to internal SITA teams.
- Participate in PnL analyses, expense audits, account reconciliation.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 10 years experience in a multinational environment
- At least 5 years experience in managing a team
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in the appointed area of responsibility or similar activity
- Previous experience in data analyses and/or data reconciliation.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; other languages are beneficial
- Ability to apply processes and procedures as well as design and document new processes and procedures
- Understanding and application of accounting principles; good finance knowledge background
- Demonstrate proficiency in common analysis tools (MS Excel Word, Power BI, basic of SQL, macros, …);
- Demonstrate proficiency in Office tools ( Word, PowerPoint,…)
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external customers at all level
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be detail oriented,
- Have the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment
- Fast learner
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Business Finance, Accounting or equivalent
