Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,400 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. 

Our team is looking for an Accounting Manager to join them. You will report to the Finance Controller and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA. 

To be considered for the Accounting Manager opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification
• 5-7 years of experience, preferably with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory; to work accurately with numerical detail; to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

As an Accounting Manager, you will: 

• Manage and coach accounting team
• Manage month-end close process, including checklists to keep the team on track for a 3-day close.
• Prepare and review month-end entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist controller with cash forecasting.
• Support the preparation of accurate financial statements and disclosures, including compliance with relevant standards.
• Partner with FP&A to analyze results and prepare related reporting.
• Help maintain internal controls in place and keep documentation up to date.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and handle requests efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting and business processes.
• Assist in maintaining and improving processes and related documentation.
• Ad hoc requests and reporting.

Compensation Pay Range

$130,000-$140,000
