Job Description
The Aerospace Production Manager leads the day-to-day operations of an FAA Part 145 repair station, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance and repair of aircraft components. This role plans and oversees production activities, manages teams across maintenance and component work areas, and drives on-time delivery while maintaining rigorous quality and regulatory standards. The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational execution, team development, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the FAA Part 145 repair station, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production activities.
- Plan, direct, and monitor daily production operations across assigned maintenance and component work areas.
- Assign labor, tools, materials, and equipment to support efficient workflow and on-time delivery of components and products.
- Review work progress, production schedules, and labor utilization to identify bottlenecks and resolve operational delays.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable FAA, EASA, CAA, customer, internal quality, and safety requirements.
- Ensure regulatory manuals, training programs, certifications, and audits remain current, accurate, and compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Lead, supervise, and develop maintenance, inspection, and administrative personnel to meet production and quality objectives.
- Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to support production goals and resolve technical or logistical issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including schedule performance, labor efficiency, cost control, throughput, and quality metrics.
- Manage production schedules, workflow planning, manpower allocation, and quality standards to meet customer delivery commitments.

Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or aviation, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising teams within an aircraft component or products maintenance facility.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of aviation maintenance experience, preferably within an MRO or similarly regulated environment.
- Repairman Certification, with the ability to qualify as the Accountable Manager for the repair station.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 145 and associated regulations and guidance material.
- Strong working knowledge of aviation maintenance processes, quality systems, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents, maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Experience with performance metrics, production scheduling, and resource management.
- Proven capability in production supervision within aerospace components manufacturing or repair.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality in a regulated aerospace environment.
