A Cargo Ramp Supervisor performs the following:

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Write routine reports and correspondence
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate and percent in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, interpret graphs
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

• Manage, coordinate, and control all aspects of cargo operation
• Oversee operational activities, monitor quantity and quality of work
• Direct personnel within assigned functional area
• Participate in discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring, termination, and training of subordinates 
• Ensure budgetary controls and manning requirements
• Ensure compliance with Company rules, regulations, standards and contractual agreements
• Communicate between customers and WFS
• Monitor work of assigned employees, ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality, and employee relations meet/exceed standards
• Maintain and control required aspects of operation in accordance with corporate security program and TSA legislation
• Ensure required company audit requirements are undertaken, ensure continuity and compliance
• Read, understand, clarify, and implement the site-specific security plan, ensure WFS staff are issued a company ID, and required to display this identity badge
• Ensure the administration of practices are fair and equitable, where all employees, customers, vendors, and other third parties are treated with respect
• Receive, dispatch, and stage airfreight, air mail, and other cargo at air freight docks and other cargo facilities
• Operate motorized vehicles as related to the operation
• Routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment and facilities with or without powered equipment

• Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off
• Must have a valid DL

• Ability to handle stress
• Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Work in a high noise level environment
