Our workforce of more than 30,00 has pre-eminent expertise in advanced aircraft design and production, modification and support, stealth technology and systems integration. This position provides the direct management and leadership of an aircraft production team and sets maintenance priorities. Integrates with the host squadrons leadership, advises host squadron of schedule requirement and production issues as the pertain to the F-35 aircraft at Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada.

Other responsibilities include.

-Interfaces with Naval leadership daily.
-Supervises daily maintenance and flying operations including building work shift schedules.
-Attends daily maintenance and flight operations meetings as required.
-Reviews completed work orders and accomplishes Aircraft Safety of Flight Releases.
-Ensures workforce follows appropriate technical , and local operating instructions.
-Advises management of status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.

-Must have at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance AND must be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

-Must be a US Citizen. This position is located a facility that requires special access.

-Candidates must be available to work all shifts dependent on mission requirements or customer needs.

-Must be able to perform short notice travel for business, Temporary Duty (TDY), and extended TDY to support program, mission or customer requirements.

-Candidate must be able to deploy to various locations for recovery, launch and repair of aircraft. Candidate may be required to work across multiple F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Squadrons/Units as per mission requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

-10 Years minimum fighter aircraft maintenance experience with a thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and flight line operations.
-8 years minimum experience as a supervisor/manager in aircraft maintenance flight line environment.
-Strong verbal and written communications skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Managers on schedules, aircraft status and issues as they occur.
-Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout the USN Executive command structure to include Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers.
-Experience leading a diverse workforce.
-Experience developing and presenting formal briefings and presentations to a workforce and to management.
-Experience with such programs as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information Systems, Tool and FOD Control, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management or Supply Chain Management.

-Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) or Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) experience.
-Understanding of USN Maintenance Practices/Instructions and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 8210 Ground Operations requirements.
-Knowledge and understanding of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) 4790.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
-Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures.
-Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
