As an Aircraft Sealer, you will be responsible for the aircraft fuel tank sealing process under the guidance of the Production Supervisor. You will conform to production schedules and adhere to all applicable Health and Safety policies, ensuring a high-quality finish to meet industry standards. This role involves cleaning and sealing fuel tank components and other aircraft parts, often working within confined spaces such as wing fuel cells.

Responsibilities

• Set up In-Tank tools at the beginning of the shift, including lights, guns, and spatulas.
• Communicate with co-workers to coordinate and plan work duties at the start and end of shifts.
• Clean tanks by vacuuming, removing Foreign Object Debris (FOD), and using correct solvents.
• Apply seals to specifications, including fillet seal, dome seal, and injection seal.
• Indicate applied seals (wet seal) using tape and other tools.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area, disposing of hazardous waste and storing tools properly.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems creatively to meet production demands.
• Use mirror technique for sealer application in non-visible areas.
• Consult Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safety precautions with hazardous chemicals.
• Work effectively in confined spaces.

• 2-4 years of experience as an aircraft sealer.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in aircraft manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions through designated channels.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures with hazardous chemicals.
