We are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and results-oriented Area Station Manager Ground Operations to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality ground handling operations across assigned outstations.
You will be responsible for maintaining strong cooperation with ground service providers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that airBaltic’s service standards, operational requirements, and business philosophy are consistently delivered.
We will entrust you toTake responsibility for all Ground Operations activities and productive cooperation with Ground Operations service providers in assigned Outstations
Ensure proper, safe, high standard and on-time handling of airBaltic aircrafts, passengers, luggage and cargo
Make sure that airBaltic business philosophy & practices are followed by service providers in Outstations to secure constant fulfilment of the agreement that we make with our passengers
Constantly monitor, correct upon necessity and initiate improvements of Ground Handling processes within assigned Outstations and under own area of competence
Negotiate cooperation terms and follow-up on quality and service provided by suppliers
Perform any administrative work related to own area of competence
Lead and coordinate implementation of approved improvement projects within assigned Outstations
What you will need to succeedBachelor degree, preferably in Business Administration and/or Logistics
Minimum five (5) years of job experience in airline industry
Experience in Ground handling operations (work experience specifically in Ramp Area will be considered as advantage)
PC Literate, professionally fluent working with MS Office, Excel and Word
Good command of both, written and spoken English. Other languages will be considered as an advantage
Strategic, yet operational, as well as commercial mindset
Able to deal with conflicts, pro-active in problem solving and independent decision maker
Great communication and influencing skills, ability to build strong; relationship at all levels, both internally and externally
Flexible to allocate significant share of time for business travel
