Roles & Responsibilities:
- As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, Lead process development, prototype builds, training, New product development, managing cost out programs etc.
- Define requirements for production capacity, initial acceptance quality, cycle time, manufacturing test equipment, and documentation for your product line.
- Lead New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- Develop project plans and execute to meet plan and milestone targets
- Ensure all QMS Requirements, for manufacturing, are met during the program
- Support Transfer projects between sites and other internal/external sites
- Work with global teams and customers during NPI and as well as Serial production phase.
- Work with MFG Operations to simplify production lines, improve productivity.
- This is a key technical cross functional team member position, with interaction among engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and the supplier base that will drive cross-functional execution to exceed milestone and program targets for NPIs
The Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of expertise in Aerospace manufacturing, Specialized in complex 5-axis CNC machining of super alloys using CAM and knowledge of ISO/AS9100, FAI, GD&T and fixturing of high-precision components
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Preferably Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to identify/track metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- AS9100 awareness, Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects for Aerospace part manufacturing
- Ability to interface with varied levels from Operators to Plant Management.
- 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering in NPI and Production phase.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC machining of super Alloys forgings, castings
- Experience in CAM programming.
- Added advantages of thin wall & rotary parts machining and assembly, grit bast, thermal spray coating, EDM etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert in drawing reading & GD&T.
- Knowledge of APQP, FAI’s & PFMEA
- Hands on experience in DMG & Mazak 5 Axis Machines, Mill turn, HMCs etc.
- Hands on experience in Mazatrol SmoothX (Integrex) and Sinumeric Control Systems.
- Expertise in Estimation/Costing and Economics of Machining.
- Experience in Assembly & Fabrication processes
