Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager, Training is responsible for developing, managing, and improving MAGCS’s Training Program to ensure all employees and appointed sub-contractors gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to work effectively, safely, and in compliance with all requirements.This role oversees the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs based on the MAGCS Training Manual and regulatory standards, ensuring the Company remains compliant and audit-ready. The Assistant Manager, Training also manages training administration, curriculum development, trainer support, and overall program effectiveness, while assisting the Training Nominated Post Holder in meeting MAGCS’s training and regulatory obligations.
Key Accountability- Plan, design, and implement MAGCS training programs in line with regulatory requirements and the MAGCS Training Manual. Manage course content, schedules, approvals, and certification. Ensure consistent delivery and tracking of all mandatory and functional training. Lead the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify competency gaps and develop annual training plans and budgets
- Ensure all training meets CAAM and other regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation to stay fully audit-ready. Represent MAGCS during audits and coordinate compliance actions. Update training materials regularly to reflect new regulatory requirements
- Assess training effectiveness through evaluations and feedback. Develop internal trainers and Subject Matter Experts through coaching and Train-the-Trainer programs. Monitor trainer performance to ensure consistent and effective delivery
- Improve training methods by reviewing processes, digital tools, and learning technology. Benchspan against industry standards and conduct post-training reviews to identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Manage the LMS, HRDC system, and other training platforms, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with CAAP requirements. Oversee training dashboards, reports, and metrics. Maintain complete and compliant training records
- Work closely with internal teams, customer airlines, training providers, and regulators to align training needs. Act as the alternate representative to the Training Nominated Post Holder for meetings, audits, and committees. Collaborate with MAG entities to optimize resources and strengthen trainer capabilities
- Ensure all training activities follow safety, security, and corporate policies. Promote a strong safety culture by integrating safety practices into training. Ensure trainers and trainees uphold professionalism, discipline, and safety awareness
Qualification & Working Experience- Degree / Professional Certificate with 3 years working experience in aviation / learning & development industry or
- Diploma with 6 years working experience in aviation / learning & development industry or
- High school certificate with 8 years working experience in aviation / learning & development industry
- HRDC Train-the-Trainer (TTT) or equivalent certification.
- Instructional Design or Adult Learning certification is an advantage
