Job Title: Assistant Manager of Aircraft Scheduling

SUMMARY:
The Assistant Manager of Aircraft Scheduling is responsible for the direct oversight of the Aircraft Schedulers, maintaining flight schedule integrity, and assisting in the development and coordination of Aircraft Scheduler training at the direction of the Manager of Aircraft Scheduling and the Assistant Director of Operations Control Center - Scheduling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate with the Manager of Aircraft Scheduling to create and maintain an Aircraft Scheduling Manual.
2. Collaborate with the Manager of Aircraft Scheduling to create, execute, and maintain a training program for Aircraft Schedulers, to include:
- Initial and yearly recurrent training programs
- CBT
- OJT
3. Create and maintain training records
4. Perform quality assurance audits to evaluate effectiveness of training
5. Determine areas of responsibility and specific job functions for the Aircraft Schedulers and Military Schedulers that need revision, or where the training program may be enhanced
6. Ensure the quality and accuracy of the information provided by the Aircraft Schedulers.
7. Assists the Duty Manager in maintaining interdepartmental flow of accurate information
8. Utilize scheduling programs (MISA/ASTRO/EXCEL) to Manage the fleet schedule in order to
- maximize utilization of aircraft
- to reduce non-revenue flying
- Meet aircraft maintenance requirements
- Meet customer requirements
- Protect schedule integrity and on time performance
9. Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement viable flight schedules to meet added customer demand
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The direct supervision of Aircraft Scheduler and Military Scheduler daily functions, training and records, and Supervision of long term flight schedule integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Assistant Manager of Aircraft Scheduling must have experience in a flight dispatch center. Have attention to detail, be able to think analytically; multi-tasking and stress management skills required. Must be able supervise effectively. Must be a High school graduate. It is desired applicant have some college and/or technical school as well as an FAA Dispatch Certification.
Applicant must demonstrate through the interview process the capability to speak and read the English language, the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and the ability to convert between different units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
