As the IT Assistant Manager responsible for SAP S/4HANA, you will be the single internal authority and system owner for Scoot’s SAP landscape. You will lead SAP strategy, govern system design and change, and ensure SAP solutions effectively support business operations and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
SAP S/4HANA Ownership & Governance
Act as the single point of accountability for Scoot’s SAP S/4HANA platform.
Govern solution design, configuration approaches, and system changes executed by external vendors.
Review and approve key SAP S/4HANA design decisions across modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM.
Ensure compliance with architecture, security, and regulatory standards.
IT Strategy & Roadmap
Define and execute the SAP S/4HANA roadmap aligned to business strategy.
Identify optimisation and value‑creation opportunities.
Evaluate upgrades and new capabilities.
Assess risks and ensure operational continuity.
Vendor & Delivery Management
Manage SAP system integrators and managed service providers.
Define scope, SLAs, and governance mechanisms.
Hold vendors accountable for delivery quality.
Act as escalation point for issues and design decisions.
Project & Change Governance
Govern SAP S/4HANA projects delivered by vendors.
Approve requirements, designs, and deployment strategies.
Oversee disciplined change control.
Report progress and risks to stakeholders.
System Support, Security & Compliance
Oversee SAP administration and support performed by vendors.
Ensure cybersecurity, audit, and SoD compliance.
Maintain DR, data protection, and resilience policies.
Support internal and external audits.
Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, HR, and other teams.
Translate business needs into SAP direction.
Act as Scoot’s trusted SAP authority
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years owning or managing SAP systems.
Proven experience leading SAP initiatives delivered through external system integrators or managed services providers.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, capabilities, and governance considerations.
Solid knowledge of SAP ERP functional areas such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and HCM, from a design and oversight perspective.
Ability to govern SAP design and configuration without performing hands‑on system changes.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management, IT governance, and enterprise change control.
Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
Experience in the aviation or travel industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
