Position Overview:
- Accountable for operational planning of the product lines under his/her charge working closely with the other functional departments
- Responsible for adequate planning of production in all repair lines to meet Daily, Weekly and Monthly production targets and other defined measures of performance, such as Turn Around Time (TAT) and On Time Delivery (OTD)
- Accountable for ensuring operational indicators within CORE Control Tower are met
- Responsible for all supervisory and human resource responsibilities for all direct reports (Time & Attendance, Performance Management, Training, Communications, Discipline)
- Be accountable for specific area(s) of the EH&S program as assigned and Quality standards across the assigned value streams
- Develop and mentor Team Leads to assist in optimum operational planning
- Drive employee engagement action plans, as appropriate, to meet benchspan scores in employee engagement surveys
- Identify and champion continuous improvement projects and constantly enhances existing methods of operation via CORE principals.
- Drive best practices innovation and sharing across the shop
- Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or General Manager
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Utilize data and metrics to identify process improvement opportunities
- Create/modify standard work to better fit business/customer needs
- Champion shop floor management process:
- Ensure Tier 1 shop floor meeting is held as scheduled, participate as necessary and provide communication and content for the meeting
- Lead the Tier 2 Line by Line meeting with the team daily, ensure comments and actions are taken as appropriate
- Participate in the weekly GEMBA walk, address concerns noted in a timely manner
- Ensure progress toward Macro plan deliverables through the year
- Update Policy Deployment Progress Reviews (PDPR) to show plans and progress toward achieving Macro plan deliverables
- Address risks and negatively trending items with proactive RRCA
- Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement events
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive actions for cost savings
- Develop, implement and maintain a resource plan that ensures adequacy in employee numbers, skill level, on-going training and personal development employees under his/her charge
- To meet all applicable EHS, Quality and Global Trade requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years of operational/ functional experience with at least 1 year in a role managing groups of direct employees
- Meticulous with details and flair for operations planning
- Interest in developing and managing direct employees
- Assertive with effective communication and listening skills
- Result and performance oriented
- Demonstrated ethical decision making & Quality First mindset
