The Liferafts Value Stream Leader serves as a key leadership pillar within the Evacuation Systems business and value stream organization. This individual will lead the Liferaft segment of the Evacuation Systems business in Lake Suzy, Florida, with full ownership and accountability for cross-functional execution. Responsibilities include driving current and future business objectives, as well as overseeing risk mitigation and avoidance related to programs and obsolescence.

This role is based in Lake Suzy, FL and is eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the Lake Suzy site to achieve operational and financial targets – accountable for profit and loss of the site.

  • Collaborate and partner with Evacuation Systems leadership to deliver and mature integrated business solutions across Lake Suzy / Bangalore and execute sustaining program strategies to drive OTD, quality, and customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate and align with Evacuation Systems – Customer Value Stream and Business Development teams to define site sales/customer priorities for the business

  • Drive organizational effectiveness across the program management teams

  • Partner with HR to define a talent strategy that aligns to current and future business needs. Develop a clear succession planning process

  • Drive a One Collins culture, and a culture of continuous improvement. Foster a high-performance culture with emphasis on ethics, collaboration, and customer focus

  • Align the business processes and structure to the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) system

  • Represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop, analyze and review a variety of indicators to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and project execution

  • Leverage coaching, advisement, mentorship, and stretch assignments to drive employee engagement, skill development, and performance

  • Support change and transition management activities to maximize results

  • Responsible for functional alignment to meet Evacuation Systems business objectives

  • Requires up to 10 travel, typically one week every 2–3 months for site visits, meetings, or training

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Management

  • 12 years of progressive program management or manufacturing leadership experience

  • Experience leveraging relationships with Collins international support and manufacturing campuses to streamline operations and drive cross-site alignment

  • Supply chain, value stream management, & manufacturing experience

  • Leadership experience in a complex, milestone driven & fast-paced environment

  • Proven experience leading and implementing change management initiatives across cross-functional teams

  • Experience engaging customers and internal stakeholders

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
