What you can expect as an Avionics Contracts Administrator at West Star:
This position works with internal and external customers (including executive level personnel), Sales Department, Engineering Department and Quality Assurance on creating Avionics Install sales quotes for incoming and internal work. This position is primarily responsible for putting together Avionics Install pricing proposals for customers that include accurate labor hours, parts and certification costs in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires independent thought and judgement to research, compile and identify all work to be performed, material, parts, timeline, pricing terms and pricing structure to ensure an accurate contractual commitment is prepared.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
Generating verbiage and dollar amounts for sales quotes
Develop and maintain necessary databases
Coordinate with team members to generate multi-department contracts.
Work directly with Sales and customers for information to develop pricing for quotes.
Work directly with OEM and afterspanet system vendors and develop beneficial relationships.
Strong organizational skills and a strong understanding of the business / customer needs.
Ability to make sound judgment based on the situation and the long-term goals of the program.
Responsible for opening and finalizing quotes.
Take a role in developing new ideas and procedures that will give the company the information necessary for success.
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
What you’ll need to bring with you:
Your Education:
A High school diploma or equivalent.
A degree in aviation, avionics trade school or an Avionics FAA Repairmen’s Certificate is preferred.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience:
Previous experience in aviation contracts / quoting or equivalent working experience in cabin and cockpit avionics system installation are preferred.
Working knowledge of Corridor and Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
Experience with multiple projects and customer interface preferred.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefit Information
The following information is disclosed according to state specific requirements. If the position applied to is not in a state with these requirements, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $30 - $40. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).
