Job Description:
Corporate Air Center is a fast-paced Maintenance and Avionics shop located in Burlington, WA. We are currently seeking to hire a highly experienced Avionics Manager to oversee and conduct avionics installations, troubleshooting, and inspections on corporate aircraft. This role requires knowledge in avionics systems such as Collins Pro Line, Honeywell Primus, Garmin flight decks, Avidyne, Aspen and GoGo Air to Ground Systems, as well as a strong understanding of business-class jets, single and light twin recip, turboprop, and helicopters. The ideal candidate is prepared to lead and eager to work. 
As a key member of the leadership team, the Avionics Manager will develop installation quotes, oversee installations and troubleshooting activities, mentor technicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence. We are a small company with the ability to be flexible and prioritize work-life balance. Weekend overtime is only under very rare circumstances. Situated at the Skagit Regional Airport in Burlington, WA in the heart of the Skagit Valley. Local attractions include the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound with recreational activities including boating, fishing and whale watching, Several nearby National Parks and vast pristine mountain wilderness with miles of trails, camping, hunting, fishing, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and testing of avionics systems on primarily single and light twin engine aircraft such as (Textron) Cessna, Beechcraft, Cirrus, Piper, Mooney, Aviat Husky, etc.
- Perform complex avionics modifications such as flight deck integrations, radar and communication system upgrades, wiring harness fabrication, and navigation enhancements on light business-class jets and turbo prop aircraft such as Gulfstream G150, Lear, King Air and Kodiak as well as Bell 407 type helicopters.
- Interpret and apply technical documents including wiring diagrams, system schematics, maintenance manuals, and blueprints to guide team execution and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct functional and operational testing to verify the performance and reliability of installed or repaired avionics components.
- Maintain oversight of avionics equipment calibration, ensuring proper usage, care, and storage of all tools and testing devices.
- Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations, Corporate Air Center’s Repair Station Manual (RSM), and applicable service bulletins for all work performed.
- Knowledge of TotalFBO Software for accurate work order tracking, documentation, and logbook generation is a plus.
- Act as a liaison between the avionics team and other departments to ensure cohesive execution of aircraft projects.
- Provide mentorship and direction to avionics technicians, supporting their development through training, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
- Lead by example as a working manager—actively participating in hands-on work while maintaining accountability for quality, timelines, and team safety.
