Job Summary:
As the Buyer Planner Supervisor, you will lead a team of Material Planners who play a pivotal role in the success of our business. This team of professionals works in a very dynamic and collaborative environment to ensure that the right products are available, at the right times, to meet the needs of our customers and the sales commitments of the business.
The Master Scheduling Team utilizes demand forecasts developed by our Sales & Marketing Team as a window into the next twenty-four months of demand and then collaborates with our Supply Chain Team and our Production Value Stream Teams to ensures that labor, material, and equipment capacity is aligned with demand and that our factory is level load to efficiently achieve the required results. The Production Material Planning Team plays a critical role in the planning and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and facilitates communication between all involved departments.

You must be able to design, develop and deploy new tools and processes to support your team as they face new challenges and work to help the business capitalize on new opportunities.
Essential Functions:
Supervise and work with the Production Material Planners to ensure that:
Scheduled jobs are released to production on time through the creation of Work Orders in the Oracle ERP System.
Issues that may impact the completion of planned build orders are proactively communicated to the Master Schedulers so the team can work collaboratively to address them and prevent sales order OTD issues.
Monitor Master Production Schedule (MPS) On-time-to-Start, On-Time-to-Complete, and Past Due to MPS data in team KPIs and proactively work corrective actions in any areas that are off track.
Demonstrate a commitment to the development of intellectual capital.
Drive continuous improvement using the Crane Business System (CBS) tools.
Always promote and maintain a high level of customer focus (internal and external).
Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Two or more years of experience in a Supervisory role
Knowledge: Working knowledge of production planning, and inventory management processes
Skills/Abilities: Proficient in the Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $112,700.00 to $143,100.00. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
