Role title
Cargo Warehouse Supervisor TMD
Your role
Applications are currently being invited for the position of Warehouse Supervisor, Team Member D, in the Cargo Department. The successful candidate will work as part of a team reporting to The Cargo Operations Manager
Your Role:
- Responsibility for carrying out staff briefings on safety issues as directed by the Safety Manger, Duty Manager, or Operations Manager.
- Responsibility for ensuring that safe systems of work are employed and that the team works in a safe manner.
- Initiates as appropriate, first stage incident/accident reporting and is responsible for follow through as well as general adherence to policy by the team, conducting Health, Safety / Equipment checks and calibrations.
- Undertake training for and act as a First Aid responder.
- Responsibility for the prioritisation and allocation of work, tasks and equipment and for ensuring, that performance standards are met.
- Responsibility to ensure that staff know their duties and are performing them safely The CTO will be responsible and accountable for their own performance and that of their team while on shift.
- Managing team members timekeeping during the working day i.e., shift start times, going to and returning from breaks, leaving work times.
- Responsibility for the identification of specific training requirements within the team either on a day-to-day basis or through the appraisal scheme. CTO will carry out On the Job Training and facilitate learning for all staff.
- Managing the daily interaction with the FTA, if appropriate, (Duty Manager.)
- Completion of all necessary daily reporting – Damage, Operations, Absence, Cool Chain.
- Providing screening and ETD support. Liaise with Shippers as appropriate.
- Ensuring Constant Climate milestones are recorded and sent or entered in BA80.
- Completing end of shift CTO reports and emailing reports to the Duty Manager and others as described in the report template.
- Supervision of contractors/service providers onsite.
- Reporting maintenance issues to CBRE.
Your qualifications and key criteria
To be considered for the role of Warehouse CTO, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A thorough knowledge of Cargo operations and an appreciation of the business environment within which we operate.
- A proven commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
- Well-developed decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
- The ability to use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a high level of flexibility to adapt to change and business needs.
- A positive attitude to promoting employee engagement.
- Excellent attendance & punctuality record.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
Able to pass an aviation security vetting process, that includes an enhanced background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport as this position is based in Dublin.
