This is a Chief Flight Instructor position at a mid-size FAA Part 141 flight school. While the Chief CFI must fulfill regulatory requirements for FAA compliance, this position is much more. We want a Chief CFI who leads by example with their superior technical knowledge, flying ability, and sets the standard for quality of teaching. But more importantly, it is about “teaching the teachers.” Our Chief CFI’s principle purpose is to hire, train, develop, and coach the best group of CFIs in the country. This requires daily engagement with the instructors.
Horizon Aviation is a busy Part 141 flight school in the Northeast. We have two locations: Providence, RI and Norwood, MA, 13 full-tome flight instructors, 15 aircraft, in-house maintenance department, and we fly more than 10,500 hours per year.
