Job PurposeAt Emirates our EVP Directorate for our Commercial business areas serves as a driving force behind the Emirates Groups success, shaping its strategic direction, overseeing operational excellence, and nurturing a culture of leadership and talent development.
The Commercial Engagement & Empowerment Manager will drive strategic engagement initiatives and commercial-wide empowerment, reward, and recognition programmes across Emirates Commercial, enabling teams and key stakeholders to drive business growth, improve operational performance, and high-performance culture. Through cross-functional collaboration, the role ensures alignment of commercial strategies and empowers teams to executive business goals, through effective communication, messaging, and engagement activities as part of the internal engagement platform.
In this role you will:
Communication & Engagement:
- Suggest and drive multi-channel methodologies and engagement strategies to drive a collective vision, strategy, culture and positive work environment, to promote long-term, value-driven collaboration.
- Manage all commercial communication and events through annual scheduled plans to drive the commercial agenda.
- Deliver Chairmans Sales Awards with relevant stakeholders and ensure best of class engagement from the programme measurements, scoring and events.
Governance and Training
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to suggest adjustment to strategies as needed for optimised commercial outcomes.
- Play an active role in the commercial training governance group by partnering with commercial stakeholders, Internal Audit and Leadership and Talent to drive and monitor best practice, and to identify any training requirements to strengthen team capability and career progression.
Policies & Best Practice
- Set best practice standards and success criteria to drive best in class commercial practices and teams, liaising with teams to gather insights across commercial, ensuring their sentiments are heard and integrated into organisational decision making.
- Develop and manage empowerment sales tools and matrixes for commercial. This includes updates to the authorities manuals and processes.
QualificationTo be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree or Honours with 8+ years of experience within Commerical/ Sales.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience as a strong stakeholder manager, coach/trainer, people manager and a result oriented manager is preferred.
- Experience of which the majority should be in a project or programme management role.
- Jobholder will have managed large-scale projects and programmes, or a large delivery function with large scale people management and leadership experience.
- Experience in airline commercial/sales management and support.
- Ability to be strategically focused in aligning business initiatives to corporate objectives.
- Ability to manage and organise resources so that they are aligned to enable a quick turnaround of projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead and influence without authority.
- Multifunctional businesses knowledge, excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- PMP Certification or other Project or Program Management qualification is preferred.
